September 2019

On Tuesday 10 September, preliminary excavation works (including the demolition of a section of dry stone walling) were carried out close to Micklethwaite Bridge in the south west corner of the Greenhill site and a site compound area was created. GAG believes this work was undertaken by/on behalf of the Developers to enable the planning permission granted for the replacement swing-bridge to remain active. At this time, a number of Conditions relating to the bridge works are still to be fully discharged and, on behalf of the local communities, GAG is investigating these matters.
With respect to the Reserve Matters applicable to the main housing development (the 80+ documents for which were published on the BMDC Planning website on 12 August 2019) GAG is scrutinising these and will comment on their content in due course.
